Epoxyer Primer is a two-component, solvent-free transparent impregnating primer for preparing concrete floors for subsequent epoxy coating layers. Listed applications: Priming concrete floors before epoxy coatings; subject to technical confirmation, sealing to reduce dusting in areas without heavy traffic.
For concrete floors, selection starts with substrate integrity, moisture, traffic, chemical exposure and the required build. A primer, clear coating and self-levelling topcoat must not be treated as the same operation or assigned the same consumption figure. Assess concrete absorbency and surface strength on a test area. Remove weak material, oil and dust, and plan separately for cracks, joints and flatness. A coating does not replace a movement-joint solution.
Before specifying the product, provide the technical team with the substrate, existing finish, service exposure and intended application method. A representative trial helps establish adhesion and appearance; it does not replace the required system approval for demanding exposure. Slip resistance, intensive forklift traffic, persistent wetting and chemical spills can require different system designs. The term epoxy does not establish suitability for all these conditions.
