Paint is a coating material that forms a protective and/or decorative film on the surface to which it is applied. It generally consists of a binder, pigments and fillers, performance additives, and carriers such as water or solvent.
It is a paint system whose carrier phase is predominantly water. The required thinning ratio and application conditions must be determined in accordance with the product’s technical data sheet.
It is a paint system containing organic solvents in its carrier phase. Only the thinner recommended for the product should be used; application and safety conditions must be managed in accordance with the technical data sheet and safety data sheet.
The surface type and condition, interior or exterior use, exposure conditions, desired appearance, compatibility with existing coats and theoretical coverage should be assessed together.
The surface must be clean, dry and sound, and free from oil, dust, rust and loose layers. After any necessary repairs are completed, the product should be mixed and thinned to the ratio specified in the technical data sheet.
The final appearance depends on managing product selection, surface preparation, application equipment, coat thickness and application technique correctly as a whole. A trial application should be carried out on a small area if necessary.
Store the product in its original packaging with the lid tightly closed and label intact, under the storage conditions specified in the technical documentation. Do not add water or solvent to leftover paint indiscriminately.
Clean equipment immediately after application using the cleaner recommended for the product, then rinse and allow it to dry naturally. Follow the product’s safety data sheet for cleaning and waste management.
Yes. Ambient and surface temperatures, relative humidity, wind and rainfall directly affect application, flow and drying time. Do not apply outside the limits specified in the product’s technical data sheet.
Assess the total area together with the theoretical coverage and recommended number of coats stated in the technical data sheet. Allow for surface absorption, roughness, geometry and application losses; establish a trial area for critical projects.
Each product has a different intended use and performance profile. Consult the technical data sheet on the product page for current specifications and contact our technical team with project-specific questions.
The ISO 9000 family defines the fundamental concepts and terminology of quality management systems. The standard, scope and current validity of an organisation’s certification should be checked against the relevant certificate.
TSE certification indicates that the product identified in the certificate has been assessed for conformity with the relevant Turkish standard and defined scope. The scope and current validity should be verified using the certificate.
Excessive thinning can reduce hiding power, dry film thickness, adhesion and protective performance, and cause application defects such as runs or shade variations.
The thinning ratio is specified in the product’s technical data sheet and may vary with the application equipment. Use only the recommended thinner or water within the stated limits.
Flammability classification varies with the formulation; solvent-based products in particular may be combustible or flammable. Consult the product label and safety data sheet for the exact classification, storage requirements and emergency response information.
Store products in their original, closed packaging with legible labels, under suitable temperature and ventilation conditions, away from direct sunlight and ignition sources. Check the safety data sheet for product-specific requirements.
Blistering may result from moisture, inadequate surface cleaning, incompatible layers or incorrect primer selection. Remove loose layers, address the source of moisture and apply a primer and paint system suitable for the surface.
Remove oil, soot and similar contamination using an appropriate method. To prevent stains from bleeding through, select a stain-blocking primer suited to the surface and stain type, and check its performance on a small area before applying the topcoat.
Clean the brush immediately after use with a cleaner compatible with the product, straighten the bristles, let it dry naturally and store it so that it retains its shape. Choosing the right brush improves both surface quality and equipment life.
An undercoat is used to balance surface absorption, support intercoat adhesion, reduce minor surface imperfections and help the topcoat achieve a more uniform appearance. It must be compatible with the system being applied.
Surface and ambient conditions must remain within the temperature and humidity limits specified in the product’s technical data sheet. Postpone application during rainfall, strong winds, intense direct sunlight or conditions presenting a risk of condensation.
